Free pickup and delivery within the Pakenham area and surrounding suburbs (within 30 minutes). Standard wash, dry, and fold is $7.50/kg with a $45 minimum order. Which suburbs do you cover? +

We're based in Pakenham and cover the surrounding suburbs within roughly a 30-minute drive. This includes Officer, Beaconsfield, Berwick, Pakenham Upper, Nar Nar Goon, Tynong, Bunyip, Garfield, and more.

What does the pickup-to-delivery process look like? +

Here's exactly what happens from the moment you book to the moment your laundry comes back fresh:

  • 1. You book online, Pick your day and turnaround (48hr, next-day, or same-day). Add any notes about fragrance preferences, special items, or access instructions.
  • 2. We confirm, You'll get a confirmation text within 2 hours with your pickup window and a friendly reminder the day before.
  • 3. Pickup, We arrive in your window, weigh your bag on the spot, and send you the final quote by text before we leave.
  • 4. Sort & tag, Back at our wash space, your bag is tagged with your name, date, and turnaround. Your load is kept separate, never mixed with anyone else's.
  • 5. Pre-treat, We check pockets, flag any visible stains, and pre-treat what we can (we'll text you if anything looks risky).
  • 6. Wash, Your clothes are washed in your chosen detergent (standard or fragrance-free organic) at the right temperature for the load.
  • 7. Dry, Tumble dried on appropriate heat, then air-finished if anything's delicate.
  • 8. Fold, Folded neatly and packed in a clean bag, ready to put straight in the drawer.
  • 9. Quality check, Michelle personally checks every order before it leaves. If something's not right, you don't see it.
  • 10. Delivery, Back at your door in your chosen window. Pay by card or cash on delivery.
  • 11. Follow-up, We'll text you the next day to make sure everything came back happy.
How does pricing work exactly? +

We charge by the kilogram. Your bag is weighed at pickup and we send you the exact quote by text before we leave with it, no surprises.

  • 48-hour: $7.50/kg
  • Next-day: $9.00/kg (premium for faster turnaround)
  • Same-day: $15.00/kg (must be picked up before 9am)
  • Minimum order: $45 (around 6kg)

If your bag comes in under the minimum, we still charge the $45, but you can top up with bedding, towels, or anything else you'd like washed.

I have sensitive skin / a baby in the house. Can you use a gentler detergent? +

Absolutely. We always have fragrance-free, organic detergent on hand at no extra cost. Just select it when you book, or mention it at pickup.

If you have a specific brand you prefer, you're welcome to provide your own, just put it in the bag with a note and we'll use it.

What about bedding, doonas, and bigger items? +

Sheets, pillowcases, towels and quilt covers are all priced by weight, same as the rest of your laundry. Just add them to the bag.

For larger items like doonas or weighted blankets, please mention them when booking so we can plan capacity. Some very large or specialty items (silk, dry-clean-only, leather) we can't handle, we'll let you know if so.

What container should I put my laundry in? +

Please place your laundry in a disposable bag and leave it outside your doorstep or in a safe place for us to collect. You can also simply hand your laundry directly to the driver on arrival.

Once you become a regular customer, we'll provide a branded Rita Services bag you can reuse every pickup.

Do I have to be home when the driver arrives? +

You don't have to be home, but please remember that the safety of your laundry until pickup is your responsibility. Just stay near your phone during your pickup window so the driver can reach you if there are any issues or complications.

We'll text a photo when we collect your bag, and again when we drop it back, so you always know where things are.

I live in an apartment or unit. What access details do you need? +

If you live in an apartment or unit building, please share any access details we'll need: gate codes, intercom numbers, unit access instructions, or parking info.

Your information is kept strictly confidential and used only for service access. We never share or store it beyond what's needed for your pickups.

What if something gets damaged or lost? +

We treat your laundry like it's our own, but if something does go wrong, here's our promise:

  • We'll inspect every item at sort and again at fold. Anything we find that looks risky (delicate fabric, broken zip, embellishments) we'll text you about before washing.
  • If an item is damaged or missing, let us know within 48 hours of delivery and we'll investigate immediately.
  • For damaged items caused by our handling, we'll refund the wash cost and reimburse the item up to its fair replacement value.
  • We hold public liability insurance for added peace of mind.
How do I pay? +

We accept card (tap or insert at delivery), bank transfer, or cash. You'll receive a receipt by email or text once payment goes through.

Regular weekly customers can set up a tab if you prefer, pay monthly instead of per pickup.

Can I set up a regular weekly or fortnightly pickup? +

Yes, and we'd love that. Regular customers get a 10% discount on the standard rate and priority booking. Just message us once you've booked your first pickup and we'll set it up.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule? +

Life happens. You can cancel or reschedule any pickup up until 2 hours before your window with no charge. After that, we may charge a small $15 trip fee since we've already planned our route around you.
